Retraction Bounty Hunter
It is time to restore trust and integrity to academic publishing.

Shoddy research, professional impropriety, and fraudulent submissions have become widespread in academic publishing. Paper mills have exploited the publish-or-perish paradigm. Reviewers and editors are inundated and overworked. For-profit publishers pressure journals to accept more manuscripts to increase revenue. The number of retractions rose from about 4,000 in 2022 to over 10,000 in 2023.

Artificial intelligence relies on findings published in peer reviewed journals. Clinicians and insurance companies depend on these journals to inform patient care and coverage. Scientists use these articles to chart future research. Funding agencies use publications to assess the merit of their investments.

We will pay you to identify seriously flawed and fraudulent articles published in scholarly journals. If the article is retracted within six months as a result of your report, a bounty of $50 (US) will be paid via PayPal or Venmo.

When a report is made, it is inspected by our moderators. If approved, it becomes available for reply and commentary in the system. Journals, authors, and publishers are notified of the report's creation.
